Yan Peng, MD, PhD is a Professor of Pathology of UT Southwestern Medical Center, USA. She is an active member of Faculty Promotion and Tenure Committee. She is a past President of Faculty Senate. She served as Medical Directors of Diagnostic Immunohistochemistry Laboratory and Image Analysis and FISH Laboratory for about 10 years. Dr. Peng authored more than 90 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, mainly in the field of breast cancer research. She serves as an Editor for a textbook entitled Practical Breast Pathology (Springer). She has served as an editorial board member for multiple scientific journals including Human Pathology, Seminars in Diagnostic Pathology. She served as a USCAP abstract review board member (Breast Pathology Category) in 2017-2020. As co-investigator, she has participated in many National Cancer Institute (NCI) Breast and Gynecologic cancer clinical trials. She has served as an investigator for NCI Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program since 2014. She is a past President of the North Texas Society of Pathologists, USA. Dr. Peng graduated from Beijing Medical University. She completed her research fellowship, Pathology Residency and Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Harvard Medical School.
